Biography and Interests

A native of San Diego, I graduated with a B.A. in English
from Pepperdine University in April 1994. During my time at Pepperdine, I spent an academic year in Heidelberg,
Germany, where I had the opportunity to learn about the German culture and to travel to several European countries.
In January 2006, I received Master's Degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University.

In 1998, I moved to Chicago, Illinois, where I lived for two years. While I loved the “city life” in Chicago, I accepted a
job promotion and relocated to Tampa, Florida for two and
a half years. It was in Tampa that I met and married Rick
King; we relocated back to San Diego at the end of 2002.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities with my husband. We have taken advantage of the proximity of the Temecula wine country and enjoy wine-tasting as a hobby. I am an avid reader; I also enjoy traveling, cooking, and dancing.
